PROFESSIONAL BIO - Luke Surretsky is a NYC-based actor/singer/musician born in NJ. Select Credits -- Off-Broadway: A Christmas Carol (Jacob Marley). Regional: Rent (Mark), This Is Our Youth (Dennis), American Idiot (Will), Sweeney Todd (Anthony), Be More Chill (Rich), Ring Of Fire (Mark/Bassist), The Little Mermaid (Jetsam/Grimsby, Immersive Premiere). TV/Film: Evil Lives Here (Young John Wayne Gacy, Investigation Discovery Channel), Dickie K. (Young Dickie K., Alright Now! Productions).

GROWING UP, I spent the majority of my time pursuing the arts and honing my skills in musical theatre, straight plays, TV/film, cabarets, etc. I also studied classical piano, bass (upright and electric), and acoustic guitar. I still play all three instruments at an advanced level and they've created many opportunities for my career. At 18 years old, I started to pursue my BFA in Musical Theatre at Montclair State University but then left one semester in after booking my first regional theatre contract. From then on, my plan has been to audition and work in the industry full-time.

AS OF LATE, I've been traveling around the country working in regional theatre, Off-Broadway, TV/film, musician-related gigs, basically anything to fulfill my love of creating art. I treasure working in environments that are rooted in collaboration. Desire to create honest, impactful, and innovative art is a quality I cherish when working alongside others. Onwards and upwards!

Testimonials
But it’s Luke Surretsky who drives the evening with the speed and power of a runaway Brightline express. Somehow he and Rodaz make Dennis’ 11th hour seemingly endless spleen-venting monologue an impossible torrent of fear metastasized into words. But until the last moments, Surretsky’s Dennis exudes self-confidence bordering on arrogance, especially taking ego-building satisfaction from mercilessly putting down Warren. And yet Surretsky somehow communicates that this is all a front."

Luke Surretsky is commanding, intimidating, and menacing as the bully, Goranski."

The actors are having a great time and their delight is infectious, especially Luke Surretsky as the over-the-top bully who goes bonkers as the first to suffer under the SQUIP’s sway."
